Picture update from our trip to Utah

Don't know how much time I have to do this picture update so I'm posting pictures in chronological order with a little note about what is in the picture.

Here are a few pictures of the beautiful scenery we saw as we drove

Kate looking at the "big rocks" outside

Enjoying the ride. For now.

Beautiful clouds

Kate wanting to hold the camera herself

I convinced her to show me her teeth instead so I could show her a cute picture of herself

Selfies!

Here are some more pictures from our Friday night stay at the Roneys.  In these pictures Kate is feeding the animals cereal.  The chickens weren't fans of Kate from her chasing them around earlier.  They remembered her squeaky shoes and were nowhere to be found when they heard her coming!

My cousin, Jarom, holding Abby

Feeding the horses was fun!  I had to help Kate keep her hand flat so the horses wouldn't accidentally bite her fingers off.  She was fearless!

The beautiful view of Heber City behind us.  I would totally love to live there someday!

Saturday night we went bowling as a family and had a ton of fun!  Here Kate is on the ride there, all ready to get her bowl on!  Such a cutie.

Sunday afternoon we went to temple square to get our family pictures taken.  It was a beautiful day!

Sisters holding sisters :)

Sunday evening both sides of the family, Christine's family and Brad's family, got together to play Bunco.  I have heard of the game before but never got the chance to play it, until then.  We all had a great time together and it was the perfect game to get both families to mingle with each other.

I didn't get any pictures at the wedding :/  but it was SO so beautiful!  Our ride home was uneventful, which is good.  It was our first trip as a family of four and I would say that it was a success!  Hopefully our next trip will be just as great, whenever that is!
One last picture, well, two.  I saw this on my camera and immediately thought of a picture I had of Kate that was very similar.  Love my baby girls!

No! There is NO snow monster!!!

We are now on our way back to TX. We've gone 7 hours and have 3 hours to go till we arrive at our hotel to prepare for another 10 hour driving day tomorrow.  Yay.
Our visit with family and friends was absolutely wonderful though. This drive was so worth it and the girls weren't even that hard to entertain and keep happy. They did very well!  ...2/3 the way done, hopefully they keep up the good behavior!
The wedding yesterday was beautiful and my sister-in-law and new brother-in-law looked flawless.  I'm not much of a crier, well, at least I wasn't before having kids, but I teared up quite a few times during the service.  Watching my sister-in-law walk down the isle about to say her I do's was exciting and listening to the vows that were exchanged was so touching and sweet, how could I not choke up?  One thing that my new brother-in-law said in his vows that I really liked was that last night he was the worst husband Christine would ever have because he was going to be a better husband to her everyday. :)  I'm so happy for them and this new chapter in their lives!!
We all said our good byes this morning and, like I said, 7 hours into the drive now.  Kate has been good but she keeps talking about the tv show she likes to watch at home. Last week before we left we saw the episode where a snow monster has been scaring off people at the snow boarding/skiing resort in town. It turns out to be a cow and chicken stuck in a berry bush. Super scary, I know.  Anyhow, Kate has been asking about the snow monster since last night at the wedding reception. There was a big bush there that I am guessing helped her remember back to last weeks episode.  Well, she is still worked up about the snow monster.  No joke, she has said, "snow monster" at least a thousand times today.  Oh. My. Gosh.  There is NO SNOW MONSTER!!!  I was finally able to bribe her with a mentos.  I told her to stop fussing about the snow monster, close her eyes and take a nap!  It worked :)

Family pictures

We had a wonderful long day today at temple square shooting family pictures.  We meet at noon and left at 1:45. Because Kate had woken up this morning at 6 and hadn't gone back to sleep, she was exhausted. She has now been asleep in the car for an hour and a half and counting. Because we want her to get a good nap in today we've been running errands and I have been hanging out in the Jeep with both of the girls while they sleep.
Me thinks it's not too bad of a job!

I'll post more pictures once I get home to TX and upload the pictures from the camera :)

Our stay at the Roney's

There is always so much to do and so many people to visit whenever we visit Utah. This trip we decided to visit my aunt and uncle and their wonderful family, as well as my grandma Bonnie being as she is living with them right now.
We pulled up to their house at about 7 last night and have had a great visit so far! It's a short visit, we're leaving in about an hour, but wonderful!
Last night we caught up on each others lives, had dinner and then enjoyed the beautiful weather outside while Kate ran around with the dogs, cat, and horses.  My dumb phone deleted all the pictures from last night :/ but Kate had a blast!  She even got to feed the horses an apple!!
This morning, determined to get some more pictures, we went outside again. This time the chickens were out and Kate had so much fun chasing them around, something I remember doing when I was little! Seriously, the funest thing ever! Those little buggers are super fast. Here are a few pictures from my phone. I'll have to upload the pictures taken with my camera later.
