Puppy photos, movies, and a trip to see airplanes

     The National Museum of Nuclear Science and History is right outside one of the base's main gates.  It has a bunch of airplanes out in the front and back of the museum.  We pass it just about every time we leave and return to base and the girls were always excited to point out the airplanes.  So, of course, we had to got to it at least once.  

  I don't know what most of these pictures are of, but I do remember we had a good time walking around.  And I always enjoy being impressed by all that Andrew knows about everything.

Ellie loved being able to carry Gerald around.  He was a good size for her to be able to tote but not break.

I remember we often watched Jurassic World at the request of all the girls, especially Abby.  I'm assuming that is what is being watched based off of Abby's body language. 

We also enjoyed watching Dr. Pimple Popper which was usually on in the evenings.  Andrew and I liked for the girls to see that people have different skin issues, but behind every face is a real person with real feelings.  We would often talk about how we need to treat others with kindness, even and especially when they look different from us.

Lights at the Botanical Gardens

   The other cool thing we decided to go see with Grandma and Grandpa was the Christmas lights at the Albuquerque Botanical Gardens. It was a very cold night, …they all were.  Something the girls have never experienced for more than a couple weeks per winter, and that Andrew and I haven't experienced since moving to Texas.  But we were happy to go, and so we bundled up to stay warm as best we could. 
  Walking through the gardens was quite the sight.  The metal work and lights that were strung on these structures was very impressive. The girls loved the animal structures the most.  I think I remember the dinosaur being one of the favorites.

I don't remember going to church with Grandma and Grandpa but from this picture, it looks like we did and then Grandpa got some baby snuggles in afterwards.  …or maybe it was before?

Sandia Peak Tramway

   There are so many cool things to do in and around Albuquerque.  With Grandma Dhreen and Grandpa Scott visiting for just a few days, we wanted to go and see cool things around town.  One of the days they were here we went up the Sandia Peak Tramway, the longest aerial tram in the Americas and the world's third longest single span of tramway.
  The day we went was cold and cloudy, but once we got above the clouds it was crystal clear and beautiful. We couldn't have asked for better weather.
